A chair has the form of a person in a way that other furniture does not: a table? No. A bed? No. Think of it: a chair has a back, arms and legs, and a seat. It&amp;#x27;s a seated body.&lt;br /&gt;



&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;br /&gt;
They seem to picture a past fading from view, an overlay of what’s present to you as it’s already receding into memory. Pictures that describe something inherent to photography, an act of holding onto a person or place with an image, while possibly acknowledging its impossibility. We hold onto a place by returning to it. We hold onto a person in our memories of them—even if a photo is in itself a memory device—and through other people.&lt;br /&gt;
